This lovely classic coat is straight in style, with one covered button and loop closing at the front. It also has snaps to close it the rest of the way down though I think they were added later. The collar is a small notched shawl style. It has set-in tapered sleeves with cuffs and generous armholes, and slight shoulder pads. Cashmere is known for its lightweight warmth.
Two vertical slash front pockets. Lined in rayon satin . Label is " 100% Imported Cashmere" and it also has an L.L. Stearns Label, an exclusive ladies store in Williamsport Pa in the 1950s.
